Unknown Significance was inspired by the transformation we undergo when our identity is shaken by physical, mental, or emotional pain. Though medical diagnoses and various forms of treatment are meant to “cure” us, sometimes they seem to change us altogether, and the person we were before the experience may be hard to reconcile with who we become. –Brittany Crow
